Black Currant Cream Cheese Tarts!
Tasted so awesome, freshly baked out from the oven. Highly recommended to bake this for any occasions.
Using black currant jam instead of blueberry jam, tasted heavenly. Simple n easy to make tarts, can bake pastry shells ahead n keep in airtight container.
Here it goes for the recipe,
For the sweet pastry shell:-
Ingredients:-
320 gm flour
150 gm butter
75 gm sugar
1/2 cup milk
Method:-
1) Cream butter, sugar till pale in colour. Add in milk to mix till creamy alternating with the sifted flour.
2) Work out into a big dough. Roll out smaller balls to fit the moulds.
3) Prick holes at the bottom of the pastry shells.
4) Bake at 180'c for 13-15 mins.
For the cheese filling:-
Ingredients:-
250 gm Philadelphia cream cheese
55 gm icing sugar
1 egg
25 gm butter
20 gm flour
Method:-
1) Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar till creamy.
2) Add in egg and beat. Slowly fold in the flour.
3) Gradually scoop this filling into the baked empty shells.
4) Spoon a tsp of black currant jam into it and swirl it with a tooth pick.
5) Bake at 190'c for 10-15 mins.
6) Cool off on a wire rack.
