Banana Fritters (Jemput-Jemput Pisang)

"Jemput~Jemput Pisang", my family all time favourite tea~time snack. Just happened to have some very ripe bananas leftover and waste not, I mix all up and turned it into tis Malaysian wonderful snack. Any type of bananas will do as long as you do not over mashed it (becomes too watery).

Here it comes for the recipe :-

Ingredients :-
250 gm plain flour
1 tsp baking powder (opt)
1/2 tsp salt
100 gm castor sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
about 1/2 cup of water
450 gm very ripe bananas (mashed)
oil for deep-frying

Method :-
1) Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
2) Add in the sugar and mix well.
3) Make a well in the center, break the egg in, followed by the milk, mashed bananas and gradually the water to mix into a very thick dropping consistence batter.
4) Heat up oil for deep-frying.
5) Using a big spoon, drop a spoon of batter into the oil and fry till golden brown. Repeat till all the batter finished up.
6) Drained and placed on paper towels to cool off.

* You can use self-raising replacing the plain flour & baking powder.
