Home made Candied Orange Peels
The making of "Home made Candied Orange Peels". I thought no one will ask for this recipe but there is so many requesting. So not to keep you gals waiting,
Here's the recipe,


4 oranges peels
350 gm coarse sugar
some castor sugar for rolling
Method :-
1) Wash oranges properly, before peeling off the skin.
2) Cut the peels to about 1 cm wide.
3) Gather the peels into a deep saucepan, fill with water just enough to cover the peels.
4) Boil till boiling, then pour off water, rinse with running filtered water and drain. Repeat this process for 3 times.
5) Now, soak the boiled peels in cold water and soak overnight ( to remove bitterness).
6) Drain well and pour into a deep saucepan, add in the sugar slowly by a few times.
7) Let it boil and bubbly simmering for about 1/2 an hour,

8) Drain again over strainer till cool slightly and ready to roll into the sugar.
9) Roll the peels over the sugar and dry it out on a wire rack illustrated in the picture below.
10) The drying out process takes around 6-7 hours or maybe shorter.
*I bought the sunkist oranges for the peels.
