Fried Spicy Squid (Sotong)
Spicy Sotong fried with chilly boh, curry n chilly powder, "ada uumphhh.....!
Here's the recipe,
Ingredients:-
Squid (cleaned/ rub with salt)
1/2 bowl big onions
1 pc ginger (smashed)
chopped onions & garlic
3 tbsp Chilly boh
2 tbsp Chilly powder (Korean)
1 tbsp Thailand tom yam paste
2 tbsp Curry powder
Salt, sugar, pepper
Light soy sauce
1/2 bowl coconut milk
2 tbsp tomato sauce
Method:
1) Drain off excess water from the squid, set aside.
2) Mix curry powder & chilly powder with water, make into a paste.
3) Heat up oil, fry the ginger,big onions, chopped garlic n onions till fragrant.
Spoon in the chilly boh, tom yam paste and the powder paste. Fry till aroma and seasonings add in to taste.
4) Pour in the drained squid, and fry till it curls up, follow by tomato sauce and coconut milk.
5) Simmer for another 5 mins, dish out and serve hot with the nasi lemak.
