Red Bean Paste Curly Buns
" Beautiful Red Bean paste Curly Buns ", tasted soooooooo yummy. Fresh and crispy outside and soft inside with the sweetness of the red bean paste.
Here's the recipe,
[1st step : For the bread dough]
Ingredients:-
500 gm bread flour
100 gm cake flour
100 gm sugar
60 gm margarine
1 1/2 tbsp instant yeast
2 tsp salt
1 egg
40 gm milk powder + 250 gm water
1 tsp bread improver (optional)
Method:-
1) Sift bread flour and flour into the mixer bowl. Add in the sugar, instant yeast, salt, bread improver and margarine.
2) Break up the margarine into bread crumbs, break in the eggs and mix for 15 mins into a pliable dough.
3) Transfer the dough to table top dusted with flour, round it up and rest for 10~15 mins .
4) Punch and knock out the air from the dough, roll into longitude and cut each dough into 50 gm each till finished.
5) Flatten each dough, put a ball of red bean paste and wrap up neatly, leave to rest until all the small dough fill up.
[2nd step]
Method:-
1) Roll out the filled dough, like in the photos posted, slit using a small knife into the flattened dough.
2) Hold the two ends, twisting different directions and curls up like a rossete.
3) Tuck in the ends properly and placed on greased tray.
4) Let it rise till double in size, brush with beaten egg, sprinkle roasted sesame seeds all over the buns.
5) Bake at 170' for 20 mins or till golden brown depending on individual oven.
