Stir-Fried Braised Farm Chicken with Mushrooms and Sea Asparagus

Stir-fried, braised farm chicken with mushrooms and sea asparagus. Super delicious cuisine served on my kitchen dinner table.
So many of you had requested for this recipe,not to disappoint you girls.
Here it goes :-


Ingredients:
2 big drumsticks ( cut into pieces)
1 tin sea asparagus
6 slices of Bentong ginger
1 big onion (sliced)
6 pcs of black mushrooms (soaked & drained)
spring onions ( cut about 2" long) 2 tabsp oyster sauce 1 tabsp. dark soya sauce
3 tabsp. light soya sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt & pepper powder
1/2 tsp 5-spice powder
1/4 bowl of cornstarch
1/2 bowl of water for gravy
1/2 bowl of chopped small onions & garlic
5 tabsp of sesame oil


Method :-
1) Heat up sesame oil, saute the sliced ginger, big onion and the chopped small onions & garlic until aromatic.
2) Pour in the chicken pieces and mushrooms, stir-fry until color changes in chicken chunks. Add in all the sauces and seasoning and continue to mix until well blended.
3) Then stir in the water and stimmer until cooked.
4) At this stage, only can toss in the sea aspargus and give it a boil or two.
5) If you like more gravy, add in more water. Thicken the whole mixture with cornstarch.
6) Now throw in the spring onion and give a few stirs. Off the heat.
7) It's ready for the table and serve with steaming hot white rice.

* I bought the drumsticks, very big piece, it's chopped from the thigh up.
